Being highly gifted astronomers, the Mesoamericans were majorly preoccupied with counting and calculations of the recurring cycles of the planets, moon, sun, and stars. The antique Pre Columbian jewelry heavily reflects this truth. The ornaments of this era perfectly blended aesthetic sense and ceremonial, secular or spiritual cause.

The prominent metals of the Pre Columbian era included gold, silver, copper, and gold and tumbago alloy. Beads were extremely admired by the Mesopotamians and mostly shells, Jade, terra cotta, flint, turquoise, and lapis lazuli were used for glyptic carving and beadwork.

Mesopotamian possessed great reverence for the facial ornaments. Reliving the same era is now possible with the beautiful range of aesthetic historical Pre Columbian Jewellery available at Museum Jewelry. Our dazzling collection of Pre-Columbian earrings, brooches include the Pre Columbian Earrings with Jade Stones and hooks, Pre-Columbian cat earrings made of sterling silver and gilded with 22-carat gold, and Pre-Columbian lizard brooch made of authentic silver covered with 22 carat gold
