Our rock crystal earrings (Illustration) are inspired from a Viking necklace (about 1000 A.D.) found in a hoard on the island of Gotland in Sweden. It consists of 11 cabochon cut rock crystals set in silver and 10 granulated silver beads.

The necklace is remarkable because it consists of three styles from three different cultures and that it serves as a documentation of the trade and influence, emigration and exchange of ideas that took place between Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

Hoards from Gotland from the 11th century often contain high quality rock crystals set in silver and they are mostly cobochon cut.
