History of the jewelry
The court jeweler Carl Fabergé and his artisans created sumptuous eggs for the Russian and European nobility, as well as for his own Fabergé shops. In 1886, he was commissioned annually by the Russian Tsar, Alexander III, to produce eggs for the Imperial family. These imaginative eggs were created in gold and silver and were richly decorated with enameling, precious and semi-precious stones. This miniature egg pendant is inspired by these creations.
