Degas Earrings - The Little Dancer made of sterling silver with 22 carat gold plating (late 19th century).
The original sculpture by Edgar Degas (1834 - 1917) was completed and exhibited in wax in 1881. A number of bronze casts were made in 1920 and are commonly exhibited with a gauze skirt and satin headband.
Material: Gilded silver. Hooks in silver.
